Start with the written role
“Agent” can describe different arrangements across services. Do not assume it means a particular commission, payment authority or territory. Ask for the operator’s written description of the role, eligibility rules and agreement before providing personal or business information.
Questions for the programme
- Who is the contracting entity and which contact can verify the invitation?
- Which activities are permitted, and which require separate authorisation?
- How are compensation, deductions, disputes and termination handled?
- What customer information may be accessed, and how must it be protected?
- What advertising and local eligibility restrictions apply?
Agent versus affiliate
An affiliate commonly refers visitors through tracked links. An agent arrangement may involve a different scope, but only the actual contract establishes it. This guide does not recruit agents, quote commission rates or authorise anyone to handle funds.
Be cautious with unsolicited offers
Verify the contact through an established channel. Do not transfer an application fee or disclose account codes solely because a message uses the brand name. Keep a copy of the agreed terms and get appropriate professional advice on any business obligations.
